Skai Lama was Zura Ventures’ first attempt at building a profitable Micro-SaaS business while being bootstrapped and we’ve achieved this goal in the last 2 years. We’re a 20-member team, growing profitably. Not just cash flow positive, or EBITDA positive, we believe that business exists to drive Net Profits and that’s what we. And yes, we pay Income Tax to the Government. 😅

Not us. Here are some of our core values to give you a sense of who we are as a team:

• Calm Company. We are building a calm company. A company that focuses on profitability and long term growth, while taking care of everyone who contributes to that goal. We do things calmly and not burn capital and people to do meaningless experiments in the name of growth.
• Default Trust. We are a default trust team. We don’t micro-manage and believe that when given clarity about their roles and work, people do amazing things!
• Learning Machines. We learn at a fast pace and evolve as the journey progresses. We are open to feedback that helps us grow as an individual and a team. We’re continuously striving to be better than yesterday! Therefore, training and upskilling is baked into what we do, how we do it.
• Document. Document. Document. We obsess over documentation, play-books, processes. A venture studio is built on repeatable processes and we can’t achieve that without having a strong documentation culture. It’s Non-negotiable in order to be successful in the kind of business we are building.
